WASHINGTON (QHA) -

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said that during his meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov at the headquarters of the OSCE in Vienna, some progress was made.

He made a corresponding statement after negotiations with the Russian official.

"I'm not going to tell you specifically what we get. We get progress, that's what we get," the secretary of state said.

He also noted that no concrete decisions had yet been made.

Representatives of the Russian Federation noted that the heads of foreign affairs departments discussed issues of Syria, Ukraine, North Korea, as well as the situation with the Russian and American mass media, which developed in both countries.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin met as part of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Vienna with Tillerson. The parties discussed the issue of deploying the UN peacekeepers in the Donbas.

Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada who takes part in the meeting, earlier said that she would focus her attention on Ukraine and the Russian-annexed Crimea.
