TI will help return assets of Yanukovych

Ukrainian President urged the leadership of the global anti-corruption network to help bring back the money stolen by the Yanukovych regime.

Petro Poroshenko met with the leadership of Transparency International and told about the steps the Ukrainian authorities take in the fight against corruption, the Presidential press service reports.

Poroshenko also called the head of Transparency International Jose Ugas to help return to Ukraine assets that were stolen by officials during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych, and withdrawn from the country.

The head of the most influential anti-corruption network assessed the anti-corruption legislation in Ukraine and promised to cooperate with the competent authorities in the field of returning stolen assets.
