Ovidiu-Viorel Naftanayla, a diplomat responsible for the monitoring of Visa Liberalization Action Plan (VLAP) in the EU Delegation to Ukraine, claims that a key decision on visa liberalization has already been taken, the Europravda reports.

“We are currently not discussing whether Ukraine will obtain the visa liberalization regime. The only issue under consideration, when it will happen. The liberalization of the visa regime in terms of the PDVL means for Ukrainians the abolition of short-stay visas to all EU countries except the UK and Ireland,” Ovidiu-Viorel Naftanayla said at the press conference at the International Center for Policy Studies.

The EU representative said that the government of Ukraine ‘quite properly generates the plans and objectives as for the implementation of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan’.
