Following Russia’s annexation of Crimea and the introduction of sanctions against it, the number of terrorist attacks in Europe has increased significantly. The "Radio Svoboda" estimated the number of terrorist attacks since 2003 to the present day.
It is noteworthy that during 11 years prior to the annexation of Crimea, Europe was hit by 5 terror attacks, which killed 380 people. Starting from 2014, Europe has been rocked by 16 terrorist attacks, which claimed lives of 730 people.
