Simferopol (QHA) - A round table on interethnic relations is being held in Crimea with participation of EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara. The round table gathered heads and members of the Council of Ministers of Crimea, Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people, Council of representatives of Crimean Tatar people at the President of Ukraine, Republican committee on interethnic relations and others. The organizers of this event are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and delegation of the European Union in Ukraine, with the assistance of the Council of Ministers of Crimea. The meeting plans to discuss the program of resettlement and rehabilitation of the deported Crimean Tatars and other ethnic groups who returned to Ukraine after deportation and their integration into Ukrainian society for the period till 2015. Possible areas of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU on resettlement and reintegration of the formerly deported will also be reviewed. The discussion is taking place behind closed doors. Media representatives have been asked to leave the room.
