Contrary to earlier reports, Oleg Sentsov, a Ukrainian film maker, who was sentenced to imprisonment by a Russian court, was not moved to a correctional facility in the city of Irkutsk, but to one in the Yakutiya region, says a message posted on a Twitter page of Mark Feygin, Nadezhda Savchenko’s lawyer.
“I received word that Sentsov was not moved to a correctional facility in Irkutsk, but to one in Yakutiya, which is a lot further. That is definitely an act of revenge for his unwillingness to cooperate,” reads the message.
According to Feygin, the correctional facility’s administration will be trying to get Sentsov to plead guilty.
“I believe, the correctional facility’s administration will be trying to get Sentsov to plead guilty and testify against a lot of people. That’s what they usually do...”, Feygin writes.
It was reported earlier that Ukrainian film maker Oleg Sentsov was moved to Irkutsk, while Alexander Kolchenko was taken to Chelyabinsk.
