The North Caucasus District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don has started a hearing for four Crimean Tatars Ruslan Zeytullaeva, Rustem Vaitov, Nuri Primov and Ferrat Sayfullaev. The trial has started with a testimony by an unknown witness.
According to a correspondent with Gromadske TV, the prosecution alleges that a man called Alexander got acquainted with one of the defendants in a mosque. Later the defendant told the "secret" witness about the "Hizb ut-Tahrir" activities in the city of Sevastopol.
- The Prosecutor asks the witness only yes or no leading questions. The defence team objects to it and the judge supports it saying, "Indeed, ask normal questions. Let the witness give detailed answers," reported the correspondent.
According to the reporter, a lawyer Emil Kurbedinov requested that the witness's voice not be changed and continuous communication be ensured. The Court has not satisfied the petition.
