SBU denies detaining Miroslava Berdnik (PHOTO)

The information spread by some media regarding the alleged detention of a blogger Miroslava Berdnik does not correspond to reality, according to the SBU press service.

The information spread by media yesterday concerning the detention of a journalist with the pro-Russian views Miroslava Berdnik is untrue, the SBU press service reported on Facebook:

 The information spread by some media regarding the alleged detention of the blogger Miroslava Berdnik is untrue. So far, we are checking whether she was spreading the materials calling for a violent change of authorities and the overthrow of the constitutional order.

SBU has already established that the destructive activities have been coordinated with Russian handlers who sent M.Berdnik the organizational support. During a search of her home in Kiev the operatives seized computer equipment and media storage that may be of evidential value in the investigation. The investigation is continuing, wrote the SBU.

On Tuesday in Kiev Security Service of Ukraine detained Miroslava Berdnik – a blogger and journalist who has radical pro-Russian views.

Miroslava Berdnik is a daughter of a Soviet science fiction writer Oles Berdnik. She has a blog called varjag-2007 LiveJournal. In 2014 in Russia she published a book "Pawns in someone else's game. The Secret History of Ukrainian nationalism."
