“I do not know anything about it, and neither does my colleague Mark Feigin. I think you should contact government officials for comments,” Interfax quotes Nadezda Savchenko’s lawyer Nikolay Polozov as saying.

In her turn, Oksana Sokolovskaya, Russian serviceman Yerofeyev’s lawyer, thinks her client may be released by the end of the day.

“According to the unofficial information I have, he may be pardoned and exchanged today,” Interfax quotes Sokolovskaya as saying.

It was reported earlier that Poroshenko’s plane will soon land in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, where two Ukrainian prisoners will allegedly be exchanged for two Russian servicemen - Alexandrov and Yerofeyev. One of the Ukrainian prisoners can be Air Force pilot Nadezhda Savchenko.
