Speaking from a rostrum at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Nadiya Savchenko explained to the European politicians that once Russia kidnapped her, as well as the other Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars, who are being held in the Russian jails. The Ukraine’s MP called on to assist in bringing Russia to the Hague court over numerous human rights violations.

- I want everyone to understand that having pardoned me and the other Ukrainians, Putin did not make a step forward, but only wanted to show his superiority. I was kidnapped. This is a gross violation of human rights, and those guilty must be brought to justice. Many other Ukrainians have been kidnapped and are currently held in Russia. The abductions of Crimean Tatars in Crimea also continue. A country that promised and guaranteed security under the Budapest Memorandum following Ukraine’s nuclear disarmament stabbed us in the, said Nadiya Savchenko.

Savchenko stressed that in any case Russia’s delegation cannot be returned to the PACE since this country does not respect human rights and the rights of the PACE delegates, as was proved by the example of her own illegal detention in a Russian jail.
