Ukrainian pilot, MP and member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Nadia Savchenko may be transferred to a hospital if her state of health deteriorates.
First Deputy Head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Anatoly Rudiy said this on Tuesday, RIA Novosti news website reported.
"As soon as we feel that the situation with her health deteriorates, we will ask to transfer her to civilian medical institutions," Rudiy said.
According to him, there were no pathological changes in Savchenko's state of health.
"Her weight is stable, and various indicators of her state are stable and acceptable... We're doing our best to control the situation. Almost every day we submit information about her state to the management service," he said.
As reported, Nadia Savchenko went on hunger strike 80 days ago.
On March 3, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has awarded the title "Hero of Ukraine" to Nadia Savchenko. Earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande during a telephone conversation in the format of the "Normandy Four" once again called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to immediately release Savchenko.
