The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Saudi Arabia, represented by its leader Adel al-Dzhubeyry, said Bashar al-Assad must leave office or face being turfed out by force.

The Foreign Minister told this the journalists in New York after a meeting with Saudi Arabia allies, reports AFP. Also, Adel al-Dzhubeyra dismissed Russia's call for a coalition to defend Assad against the Islamic State terrorist group and said the best solution to the situation is the president’s resignation.

It is reported that in August this year, Adel al-Dzhubeyr stated Saudi Arabia has always stood for Assad's stepping down.
