The US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin continue to discuss the Ukrainian issue, and the issue of cyber security, the White House Correspondent Mary Alice Solinas wrote on Twitter.
According to her, Obama confirmed that the sanctions will not be lifted until Russia fully implements the Minsk agreements. Two leaders discussed the political solution of the situation in Syria. The latter will be discussed in more detail at the meeting between Lavrov and Kerry later this week.
According to the correspondent, the Head of the White House put the main emphasis on the cessation of hostilities in Syria. The US also wants to ensure the humanitarian aid flows into Syrian cities.
On G20 sidelines, US, Germany, France agreed to coordinate very closely on sanctions against Russia for actions in Ukraine. However, even after a 90 minute meeting with Putin, Obama is still unsure about seriousness of the Russia’s President.
