KYIV (QHA) -

The Cabinet of Ministers by its decree extended the duties on imports from Russia to December 31, 2017. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting.

Just a reminder: Conditions for free trade between Ukraine and Russia were canceled on January 2, 2016. Previously, the preferential rates of import duties established by the customs tariff of Ukraine were applied to all Russian goods.

The decision on the extension of the rates of import duties on Russian goods is part of the comprehensive response to the economic aggression of Russia against Ukraine.

It was reported earlier that the embargo came into force in Ukraine on July 11, 2016, which has been extended as a response to the actions of the Russian authorities, who decided to extend ban on the import of goods from a number of countries, including Ukraine, into its territory until the end of 2017.
