MOSCOW (QHA) -
Russian singer Yulia Samoilova, who was supposed to represent Russia at the international music contest "Eurovision-2017", will perform in the annexed Sevastopol instead.

According to the source, the concert is scheduled for May 9.
The singer Yulia Samoilova, who was to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest-2017, was officially banned from entering the territory of Ukraine for three years, since in 2015 the Russian singer performed in the occupied Crimea, thereby violating Ukrainian legislation.

The director of the song contest Jon Ola Sand immediately before the statement of the Security Service of Ukraine SBU stressed that the Ukrainian authorities, within the current legislation, can decide themselves on the admission or non-admission of the participant from Russia Yulia Samoilova to the Eurovision in Kyiv, and the competition management should take this decision with respect.
