TBILISI (QHA) - Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has signed a decree stripping Mikhail Saakashvili of Georgian citizenship, reports Georgia Online.
“Pursuant to Georgian President’s decree #378 of December 4, 2015, Chapter "B" of Article 19, Chapter "G" of Article 21 and Section 1 of Article 25, Mikhail Saakashvili, born on December 21, 1967, is stripped of Georgian citizenship due to acquiring citizenship of a foreign country,” says the decree.
It was reported earlier that the Georgian Justice Ministry recommended that the Georgian President stripped Saakashvili of Georgian citizenship.
