Putin begins to retreat in Donbas, Lev Ponomarev, Russian politician and human rights activist, stated. He came to this conclusion after the militants of ‘DPR’ and ‘LPR’ (Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic) had to postpone the pseudo-elections scheduled for this fall.

Ponomarev considers that it is a great success, Apostrophe reports.

“This is a great success of the Minsk negotiations. At the same time, this means that the Kremlin begins to retreat,” he said.

The politician also noted that the Russian authorities would continue to ‘muddy the waters’ there, but they would have to submit the influence of international community.
