On his Facebook page, Russian lawyer Mark Feigin published a letter to Vladimir Putin urging him to release Ukrainians jailed in Russia.
“Circumstances surrounding the pardoning of Savchenko and her subsequent swapping for Yerofeyev and Alexandrov on May 25, 2016 give one grounds for optimism that other Ukrainian citizens, including Yuriy Soloshenko, Gennadiy Afanasiev, Oleg Sentsov, Alexander Kolchenko, Alexei Chirniy, Nikolai Karpyuk, Stanislav Klykh, Valentin Vygovskiy, Sergey Litvinov, Haiser Jemilev, Alexander Kostenko and others, jailed in Russia will soon be released, too,” wrote the lawyer.
He also added that Ukrainians jailed in Russian prisons for political reasons face maltreatment due to propaganda.
“I am urging you to order the release of all Ukrainian citizens, thus putting an end to it all,” Feigin wrote.
Feiging claimed earlier that Nadezhda Savchenko became a member of the Fatherland political faction and a PACE delegate at his instigation.
