The Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Krasnodar Region of the Russian Federation announced plans to create a Euroregion for economic cooperation, Ukrinform reports.
This has been discussed during a meeting in Krasnodar of Speaker of the Crimean parliament Volodymyr Konstantinov with Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Region Vladimir Beketov, the press office of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea said in a statement.
"Creation of the Euroregion "Crimea - Kuban" will bring together financial resources for the implementation of joint projects and ensure a more rapid development of our regions in the economic, investment and socio-cultural areas,” Konstantinov noted.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed on the joint development of the legal framework for the establishment of the Euroregion "Crimea - Kuban".
