Three “Varshavianka” class submarines with cruise missiles Caliber on board will be deployed to strengthen the military units of the Russian invaders Black Sea Fleet in the Crimea by the end of the year, the Kremlin-controlled edition Interfax reported, citing sources in the Black Sea Fleet.
Submarines will enter service with the occupation forces fleet after the finished testing in the Baltic Fleet.
“By the end of this year, three more submarines Krasnodar, Kolpino and Veliky Novgorod of the same type are to be tested and transported from the Baltic to the Black Sea Fleet,” the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation reported.
Reference: The above-mentioned submarines of Project 636.3 are considered to be among the most low noise vessels in the world, for which they received the name "Black Hole".
