Russia will fall back if Azerbaijan and Turkey show clear and principal position in supporting Crimean Tatars.
Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov said in his interview to haqqin.az.
According to Chubarov, Crimean Tatars want the protection of their rights and want Mr. Putin “to keep the promises he made to Crimean Tatar people”.
“After three months after Crimean unification with Russia, people are loosing their hope to positive changes and the disappointment is growing- Chubarov said. In Ukraine we lived free, but now “the oxygen is cut off”. It seems like we are back to USSR”- he added.
Naming the problems, Crimea residents are facing in recent times, head of Mejlis emphasized issue of freedoms.
“Ukraine, to be honest, has not justified all our hopes, still it gave us the main thing- gave the right to be ourselves - Chubarov noted. Freedom of speech, peaceful rallies and free disputes…we appreciate it, after we loose it”- he summed up.
