(QHA) -

Russia will purchase a tranche of Ukrainian Eurobonds for $2 billion by the end of this week, Ukrinform reports.

Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told this to reporters on Monday, according to foreign media.

"This week - for $2 billion," Siluanov said, when asked when Russia will buy the next tranche of Ukrainian Eurobonds.

As reported, last December Ukraine agreed with Russia on the sale of its Eurobonds for $15 billion. The first tranche of $3 billion was used primarily for social payments.
