Russia steps up production facilities of defense plants

Russian JSC Concern VKO "Almaz-Antey" builds additional sites in Sevastopol.

The Russia-controlled authorities of the city of Sevastopol claim they will expand the production facilities of an affiliate enterprise with the JSC Concern VKO "Almaz-Antey" (a state-owned company in the arms industry- ed.) by building additional sites.

June, 9 a so-called Governor of the city of Sevastopol Sergey Menyailo came to the site and inspected the construction works.

- Implementing such projects shows a positive dynamics in the city development. The enterprise will make an appropriate contribution to Sevastopol’s economy, as well as create new job openings, Menyailo told reporters after visiting "VKO "Almaz-Antey".

According to him, the site will serve the Black Sea Fleet military equipment.

VKO "Almaz-Antey" claims it has reached full understanding with the Sevastopol "authorities" and agreed upon the facility commissioning.

The first construction phase is scheduled to be completed by the Day of Russia’s Navy, which this year is marked on July, 31.

JSC Concern VKO "Almaz-Antey" ( a full name is Joint Stock Company "Aerospace Defense Concern “Almaz-Antey ") is headquartered in Moscow. It includes companies engaged in the development and production of air (aerospace) defense weapons and military equipment, as well as modernization of anti-aircraft missiles and radar equipment.
