February 10, during conversation with journalists, the Press-secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow does not supply tanks in the Donbas. At the same time he proposed to ask the Kyiv about the origin of the huge amount of military equipment on the territory of the self-proclaimed "DPR" and "LPR".
“These are the areas beyond the control of Kyiv, but it is Ukraine. Despite the fact that Ukraine rejects these regions carefully. So we should probably ask Kyiv why such a situation occurred,” Peskov said, and assured that the tanks in Donbas are "not from Russia."
He went on saying that no volunteers from Russia are sent to Donbas through official channels, but "there are Russian citizens who voluntarily go to the region to protect people against the aggressive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
Earlier, the media reported that the pro-Russian militants in ORDLO have about 700 tanks in their disposal, which is three times more than the capacity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
