Russia is ready for bilateral talks with the US on the situation in Ukraine, according to the RF Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, the media reported. According to him, Russia is now waiting for the appointment of a new curator for Ukraine at the US State Department.
Ryabkov noted that the interaction between the US and Russia will facilitate the implementation of the Minsk agreements. He called on Washington "to conduct a dialogue with the Ukrainian authorities if they want to move forward."
“Moscow is ready for a substantive conversation with the US at the level of high-ranking representatives in charge of the matter. And as soon as these discussions are launched, Russia will once again bring its position to the American colleagues,” the source informs.
Reportedly, in late May 2017, US military intelligence predicted that Minsk agreements are most likely to remain unfulfilled within the next two years.
