MOSCOW (QHA) -

The State Duma of the Russian Federation plans to draft a bill providing for criminal liability for the compliance with US sanctions in the territory of Russia, according to the Deputy Head of the United Russia faction Andrei Isaev.

He said that the bill could be adopted by the end of the spring session.

“I think, as we work on the law on anti-sanctions, a bill on criminal responsibility for observance of American sanctions in the territory of Russia would appear.”

Isaev stressed that criminal liability is provided only for individuals. Legal entities will have to pay "fairly high" fines.

Earlier, the US Treasury reported that the United States included in the sanctions list 38 Russian businessmen, officials and companies. In total - 7 Russian businessmen, 14 companies, and 17 Russian officials.
