Ruling party of Ukraine, Party of Regions, will not support opposition's candidate for Prime-Minister of Ukraine. Such an idea was expressed by Deputy Chairman of the Party of Regions Oleh Tsariov, press-service of the party reports.
"The issue of reformatting the Cabinet of Ministers is being actively discussed, and the most important thing is who can lead the cabinet at present. First of all, we will not support a candidate from the opposition”- he stressed, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
“We believe that there are two options for Prime Minister. This should be either a member of our team or a person who shares our program," – he added.
As we earlier reported, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov resigned on January 28.
Mass protest took place in Kyiv over government’s decision to suspend signing of EU deal and straightening ties with Russia. Protests turned to violent clashes between activists and police; at least 5 died, hundreds were injured. The key demand of the protesters was resignation of the Ukrainian government and the President Viktor Yanukovych.
