Simferopol (QHA) -

Rescheduling of a referendum on empowerment of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to the earlier date than March 30 is impractical.

Chairman of the Crimean Supreme Council Volodymyr Konstantynov told journalists, Ukrinform reports.

"There will be no postponement at this moment. We all agreed that the earlier conduct is extremely risky because of organizational problems. March 30, we will be ready to hold a referendum in full and at a high level," the Speaker said.

As already reported, self-proclaimed head of the Crimean government Sergey Aksyonov said Tuesday that a proposal is under consideration to reschedule the referendum to the earlier date than March 30. Also, he said that before the end of the day Tuesday, March 4, the issues of the referendum will be clarified. However, until Wednesday morning, March 5, there was no information on this.

Earlier, the Kyiv District Administrative Court declared illegal the decision of the Crimean Parliament on appointment of Sergey Aksyonov chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and holding a referendum on the autonomy empowerment.
