February 9 to 12, a group of scientists from the UK will visit the Russian occupied Crimea, the so-called "Head of the Crimean parliament committee on sanatorium-resort complex and tourism" Aleksey Chernyak informed the local journalists.
According to him, the scientists aim to study the region's opportunities for development of "archaeological tourism" [a kind of tourism, where travelers take part in archaeological excavations, - Ed.].
“The group consists of three people, they are scientists from the University of Bristol and the representatives of the British Military History Magazine "Living Military History." The matter that they want to discuss [with the authorities, scientists and archeologists of Crimea, - Ed.] is conducting a joint digging in the Crimea engaging the students and professional archaeologists, as well as attracting tourists from the UK,” the "official" said.
According to Cherniak, a group of British scientists arrive in the occupied capital of Crimea on February 9 and February 10, guests are scheduled to meet with members of the Presidium of the so-called "State Council" of the Crimea, and then the "Deputy Prime Minister" and "Ministers" of the republic.
Earlier QHA reported, the invaders-controlled "authorities" closed the palace-castle Swallow's Nest in Crimea for tourists for 3 years.
According to the Deputy Director of the palace-castle, the official version of the closure is reconstruction and repair work, and the unofficial resorts inform that the Palace is closed due to the construction of luxury villas in the neighborhood.
