“Qirim Birligi” civil organization announced it will initiate elections to “new” Kurultay-- Crimean Tatar national council-- till October 2015, head of the organization Seitumer Nimetullaev announced during a press-conference in Simferopol.
“I am sure that all these processes (the elections to Kurultay,-ed.) that we have begun without any support of the government will not be easy to carry on. Still we will convince the population, which is hesitating, of the necessity of the Kurultay”- Nimetullaev said, adding that delegates of present Kurultay may also nominate.
It should be noted, that “new” Kurultay will not work in a parallel with the old one, according to Nimetullaev.
“It will be brand new Kurultay, we will not work in parallel with the old one. We are not going to dissolve the previous Kurultay, we are creating our new one. We even may give another name [to the Kurultay]”- he said.
Note:Kurultay of Crimean Tatar people – National Parliament-- is a Supreme Representative Plenipotentiary Body of the Crimean Tatar people.
