Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people has canceled national holiday Qidirlez set for May 3.

The decision comes a day after Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Jemilev was banned entering Moscow.

“Amid the fact the great work was done and the money spent, we took a decision to cancel the holiday”- head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov announced.

According to Mr.Chubarov great amount of Crimean Tatars applied to Mejlis, calling on to cancel the Qidirlez.

Head of Mejlis also declared the fact of banning Jemilev from enteringCrimeaas inhuman.

“We declare the actions of Russian authorities inhuman- he said. It doesn’t meet neither international nor internal laws”- he added.  
To recall, Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Jemilev was denied entry toMoscow May 2.

Upon showing his Ukrainian passport to guards he was handed his passport back and told to go back where he came from.

Jemilev was allegedly barred from entering Crimea for 5 years for criticizing the peninsula's annexation by Russiafollowing a referendum in March.
