MOSCOW (QHA) - Vladimir Putin signed a law on the responsibility of the regional and municipal authorities in the sphere of international relations, the press service of the president reports, Islam.ru informs. "According to the federal law, authority of regions of Russian Federation will be responsible for actions in the sphere of international relations, such as the strengthening of inter-ethnic and inter-religious harmony, prevention of discrimination on grounds of nationality, language or religious identity, social and cultural adaptation of migrants," - said in a statement , published by the press-service . Previously the State Duma passed a law allowing dismissing mayors and other local officials who committed on its territory ethnic conflicts. The document holds the officials responsible for providing state guarantees equality of rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens, regardless of social, racial, national, linguistic or religious identity, the protection of national minorities and the prevention of international conflicts. This responsibility is personal, and heads of regions who will be unable to fulfill the requirements of the law will be dismissed.
