Putin not decided whether to run for a fourth presidential term

Russian President said that his country is in need of ‘a fair leader who is acting within its powers under the law and in the interests of the overwhelming majority of society’ and not a person with ‘dictatorial ambitions’.

Vladimir Putin claimed that he would decide whether to stay for another presidential term depending on the situation in the country, the world and its own sentiments, UNIAN reports citing the press service of the Kremlin.

It his interview with Charlie Rose, the US journalist, Putin said, “For how long, depends on circumstances. Of course, there are rules stipulated by Constitution and they will not be infringed on my part. But I am not sure if I should exercise the constitutional rights in full. It will depend on the specific situation in the country, the world and my own sentiments.”
