Vladimir Putin, President of the country, identified as occupant by the UN resolution, has signed a decree according to which all military ranks and documents of qualification/education of Ukrainian servicemen, living in the annexed Crimea and Sevastopol - who betrayed the oath and sided with the Russian Federation - recognized effective in the territory of the Russian Federation.
“It is hereby decreed that the military ranks and documents on education/qualification of Russian citizens residing in the territory of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, who joined the contract military service in military units and organizations of the Armed Forces stationed in the territories of the Russian Federation subjects, within the period from March 18, 2014 to January 2, 2015, as well as documents on active service in the armed forces, military formations and law enforcement bodies of Ukraine, which envisage the military service, are recognized as valid when submitting original documents,” reads the decree of Russian President.
Thus, a sergeant of Ukrainian army, who betrayed the oath to the Ukrainian people and sided with Russia, may obtain the corresponding title in the Russian army, upon presentation of original Ukrainian documents.
It’s worth mentioning that the Security Service of Ukraine detained two military deserters on the administrative border with the occupied Crimea on November 21. The oath-breakers tried to enter the mainland Ukraine to get the documents on education for obtaining officer's ranks in the Russian army.
