Putin and Obama shook hands

Before the start of the G20 summit in the city of Antalya, heads of delegations met at the luncheon and posed for the cameras. During this session the US and Russian presidents exchanged a few words and shook hands.

Reportedly, this has been the first personal contact between Putin and Obama for two years. Private talks between the two presidents at the G20 summit are not planned, but contacts on the sidelines cannot be ruled out.

As reported earlier, the attacks in Paris have made adjustments to the agenda of the summit. The topic of combating international terrorism is to be discussed along with other issues, but now its importance has increased dramatically. Due to the tragic events in the country, President Francois Hollande has been forced to cancel a trip to Turkey.
