US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed, in a phone call, the situation in Ukraine and Syria, AP news agency reports White House spokesman Josh Ernest as saying.

“According to the White House, a substantial part of the conversation dealt with performance by Russia its obligations under the ceasefire agreement with regard to Ukraine. They also discussed that Russia must end its support for separatists, destabilizing the situation in Eastern Ukraine,” the agency reports.

It was reported earlier that President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko discussed by telephone with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande the situation in Donbas, as well as the implementation of the Minsk Agreements.
