Before signing the agreement on the accession of Crimea to the Russian Federation, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed a special joint session of the Russian Parliament on the Crimea issue.

The event was also attended by Crimean Parliament speaker Vladimir Konstantinov, self-proclaimed Premier Sergey Aksyonov, and other pro-Russian deputies of Crimea.

In spite of the fact that the whole international community and legal Kyiv authorities declare the Crimean referendum unlawful, Putin stressed it was democratic and in full accordance with international legal norms.

He also noted, Crimea is an "inseparable" part of Russia and its loss was an "outrageous historical injustice."
