Yanukovich’s home Mezhyhirya is reportedly abandoned and unguarded with journalists entering freely, while Ukrainian President has reportedly left Kyiv for Kharkiv.

Mezhyhirya is the private residence of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in the village Novi Petrivtsi, Vyshhorod Raion, which he occupies since 2002.

In 1935-2007 Mezhyhirya was a state government residence until it was turned into a private property.

The 140-hectares Mezhyhirya complex is enclosed by a five meter tall fence with length along the perimeter of 54 km (34 mi).

On its territory are located a yacht pier, equestrian club, shooting range, tennis court and many other recreational tourism complexes as well as hunting grounds.
