Pro-governmental rally held in Simferopol

About two thousand supporters of President Viktor Yanukovych and the ruling party held rally at central square in Simferopol, QHA correspondent reported from the scene.

People came out to protest chaos in Ukraine and EuroMaidan, holding banners reading “No to seizing state administrations”, “No to Fascism” and others.

Deputies of Crimean Parliament, representing the ruling party arrived at the site.  They spoke to participants. 

In particular, Lentun Bezaziyev noted “weakness of the Ukrainian opposition and its’ absence of experience to rule the state”.   He also spoke for the Customs Union with Russia.    

As informed, today, Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people planned a rally against dictatorship and bloodshed in Ukraine on the central square of Simferopol. In turn, the authorities decided to hold a contra- rally at the same place and time with Mejlis. As a result, Mejlis took a decision to move its rally to another place.
