(QHA) - A rally in support of the democratically elected president is now being held on Constitution Square in Kyiv in front of the Ukrainian parliament building, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
Music is playing on the stage installed in the square, which sometimes stops for parliamentarians' speeches.
Oleksandr Popov, the head of Kyiv City State Administration, has spoken to the rally participants. The roads leading to the parliament are now blocked by the Berkut special task police and there are police buses across Hrushevskoho Street.
The cordon is picketed by opposition activists, Interfax-Ukraine informed.
Kriposny Lane near Hrushevskoho Street is closed to traffic by the traffic police, who are filtering vehicles.
