The President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin are negotiating in the Kremlin one-on-one as well as in an expanded format. According to the Russian news agency RIA-Novosti, the parties determined the major elements of cooperation in the economic sphere.
“As of today, I think, the defense industry, energy and the like have become the major elements of cooperation between the two economies,” RIA reports, citing the Turkish leader.
In his turn, Vladimir Putin noted that he was pleased to observe the level of cooperation between the military departments and special services of Russia and Turkey.
According to Recep Erdogan, cooperation on the "Turkish flow" is returning back to normal.
During the visit, Erdogan is accompanied by Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdag, Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci, Minister of National Defense Fikri Isik, Minister of Transport, Shipping and Communications Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Faruk Celik, Minister of Culture and Tourism Nabi Avci, Chief of the General Staff of the Supreme Council Hulusi Akar.
During the visit, the Turkish President will hold talks with Vladimir Putin and take part in the meeting of the high-level cooperation council Turkey-Russia.
Also, such issues as the conflict in Syria, the coordination of military actions and economic sanctions that have not yet been lifted by the Russia from Turkey will be discussed during the talks.
