Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych and opposition leaders have agreed to "a truce" and the start of direct negotiations to end the country's crisis, and end the bloodshed.
Yanukovych made the announcement on his official website.
The decision comes after Ukrainian President met with the opposition on Feb.19.
At least 28 people have been killed according to Health Ministry of Ukraine.
It is the worst bloodshed since protests erupted against Yanukovych’ government in November.
