Ukraine has so far failed to set free more than 120 Ukrainians from terrorists’ captivity in Donbas, reports Ukrinform citing Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko as saying on the first day of his working visit to the US during a speech at the forum "Ukraine’s fight for freedom," which goes on in the US Congress building (the Capitol).
- After months of talks, we still cannot set free more that 120 people who are in captivity in Donbas, said Poroshenko.
The President also stressed that Russia-backed terrorists do not allow the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross to meet with captives, as well as to look for another 800 people missing.
As QHA reported earlier, President Petro Poroshenko visited the Control Center in the zone of the antiterrorist operation. The Supreme Commander of the Ukraine’s Armed Forces held a meeting with the leadership of the ATO headquarters and was reported on the operational situation at the front.
