The Platform of Crimean Tatar Organizations in Turkey has made a decision to arrange World Congress of Crimean Tatars in Turkey on 31 July-2 August. Relevant decision was made during the platform meeting in Ankara.
There are two committees established for preparations for the World Congress of Crimean Tatars, which are the Organization Committee - which will choose the city, invite the participants; and the Law Committee to prepare the draft status of the Congress.
The Organization Committee, headed by the head of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov, will include deputy head of Mejlis Aslan Omer Kirimli, representative of Crimean Tatar Mejlis in Turkey Zafer Karatay, Mejlis advisor on affairs with Turkey, Coordinator of the Crimean News Agency Ismet Yuksel, member of Human Rights Committee of Crimean Tatar People Sinaver Kadirov, head of Crimea Development Foundation, Crimean Tatar Organizations Platform Board Member Umit Silit, head of Eskisehir Crimean Tatar Association, Crimean Tatar Organizations Platform Board Member Evren Olcay, deputy head of Crimean Tatar Culture and Solidarity Association Hq-Crimean Tatar Organizations Platform Board Member Mukremin Sahin, deputy head of Crimean Tatar Culture and Solidarity Association Hq-Crimean Tatar Organisations Platform Board Member Av.Namik Kemal Bayar, head of Crimean Tatar Culture and Solidarity Association Istanbul Branch Celal Icten and former head of Crimean Tatar Culture and Solidarity Association Istanbul Branch Yusuf Ziya Celikcan.
The Law Committee will prepare the draft status of the Congress and open it for the thoughts of other participants three weeks before the Congress’ meeting. Deputy head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People, Aslan Omer Kirimli will lead the committee and the other members are Av.Namik Kemal Bayar deputy head of Crimean Tatar Culture and Solidarity Association Hq-Crimean Tatar Organisations Platform Board Member and Av.Figen Erden Seymen the head of Crimean Tatar Culture and Solidarity Association Balikesir Branch.
