Minister of National Defense of Portugal, Jose Alberto Azeredo Lopes, held a meeting with the Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak in Brussels. During the meeting he said that the Government of Portugal has agreed to provide EUR 200 thousand assistance for Ukrainian Defense Ministry in order to support the military-technical development, reported the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
- We are talking about the military-technical aid, treatment of soldiers wounded in the ATO zone and assistance in the military training, reads a statement on the website of the Ukraine's Defense Ministry.
The Ukrainian Defense Minister expressed gratitude to the Portuguese colleagues for their support and voiced hope for further cooperation.
Stepan Poltorak stressed that Portugal will support the Ukrainian issue at a NATO summit in Warsaw.
