Settlement of political crisis, appointment of a new Prime Minister, formation of a new Government and coalition are the issues to be solved by people’s deputies in the nearest time, the press service quotes Poroshenko as saying in an interview with Ukrainian TV channels.

“I stated in Washington that it is not a matter of months and weeks but a matter of days and hours. After the next parliamentary week, the country must have a new Prime Minister, a new coalition, and a new Government’s program of action that will guarantee stable functioning of the Cabinet of Ministers and parliamentary coalition,” said Poroshenko.

According to the President, a new program of action must include reforms, cooperation with the IMF, implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU, DCFTA functioning, as well as introduction of a visa-free travel for Ukrainians.

Special attention must be paid to decisive struggle against corruption: introduction of e-declarations, intensification of the Anti-Corruption Bureau’s activities, ensuring efficiency of the Anti-Corruption Prosecution. Implementation of the Minsk agreements must also be an important component of the program of action, said Pyotr Poroshenko.

“But the first step is a new Government and new coalition,” Proshenko added noting that Ukraine would have a powerful financial support from the United States after that.
