President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the loud statements of the Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on the recognition of the Crimea as part of Russia are just part of the electoral program of the American politician. Poroshenko said this in an interview with CNN, as cited by RBC-Ukraine.
“This is a part of the pre-election rhetoric. No matter who will be elected the next president but he will be a very responsible person,” said the Head of State.
Poroshenko refused to blame the former adviser of Trump - Paul Manafort – of corruption in Ukraine during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych. The President recalled that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau continues to investigate this issue.
In addition, he promised to address the issue without political interference, and share the results with US law enforcement agencies.
