Poroshenko to hold military parade on Independence Day

Ukrainian military will traditionally march along Khreshchatyk Street and Independence Square.

On August 24, a military parade in honor of the 25th anniversary of Ukrainian Independence will be held in Kyiv. The corresponding decree was signed by President of Ukraine, the presidential press service reports.

On that day, military convoys will pass along Khreshchatyk Street and Independence Square. The preparation and management of the event is assigned to the Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak.

The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers was also instructed to allocate funds for the preparation and implementation of other activities related to the parade. The live broadcast of the event will be held under the leadership of the State Committee of TV and Radio Broadcasting.
