The fact that the truce in Donbass is holding is an indication that Ukraine got the process of returning the temporarily occupied territories underway, ЛІГА.net quotes Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko as saying.
“There has not been a single shot fired in Donbass in three days. And that means a very important thing: we can take further steps to restore Ukrainian presence in Donbass. It is impossible to bring sovereignty to Donbass without a ceasefire, elections under Ukrainian legislation, political settlement, troops withdrawal and so on,” Poroshenko said.
The President went on to say that once Ukrainian jurisdiction over Donbass is restored, Crimea will be next.
“Our next goal is Crimea,” he said.
