Today, all conditions exist to move to an active strategy of de-occupation of the Crimea seized by Russia, President Petro Poroshenko announced after the meeting of the Ukraine-EU summit, according to QHA correspondent.
He Poroshenko that the conditions for the de-occupation of the Crimea have already been created in Ukraine.
“We agreed to provide more pragmatic support to our dialogue regarding the consequences of the temporary occupation of the Crimean peninsula. Today, all conditions exist to move from the stage of non-recognition of annexation to an active strategy of de-occupation of the Crimean peninsula, which Russia turns into a peninsula of lack of freedom, militarization and threats," the Head of state said.
The President hopes that the EU will help Ukraine in the fight against Russian propaganda.
"I expect that the creation of an informal working group Ukraine-EU on strategic communication will increase our effectiveness in responding to hacker and disinformation campaigns on the part of the Russian Federation, not only against Ukraine, but against all EU countries," Poroshenko said.
July 13, the plenary session of the 19th Ukraine-European Union summit was held in Kyiv with the participation of the President of the EU Council Donald Tusk and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.
As part of the EU delegation to Kyiv, the President of the EU Council Donald Tusk, the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, the EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, arrived in Kyiv, as well as the Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, the European Commissars Cecilia Malmström and Johannes Hahn.
